Sitting in a math class, surrounded by men.

This is literally a nightmare.

Things My Parents Have Taught Me (01)

Do not sign up for multiple credit cards.

Implement a way to organize your bills.

Guess whose parents didn’t actually follow that advice and whose daughter is now trying to organize drawers full of bills?

Mo’ne Davis leads her team to win the Little League World Series
Davis will be the first American girl to play in Williamsport since 2004. She downplayed her personal accomplishment, but her pitching performance on national television showed that gender is no barrier.
"More girls should join boys’ teams so it could be a tradition and it wouldn’t be so special," she said.

I am still quite upset over the death of Robin Williams.

I guess it’s because I feel as though I can relate. You have this part of you that tries to be funny and happy, to make others laugh, to entertain them and bring them joy. It’s not an act or a mask— it’s a genuine part of who you are. But there is this other part of you, this darker part, that is so hurt and sad. And those two parts of you are constantly fighting for control. The fact that he took his own life means that dark part won, and that part has come so close to winning in my own life. And it’s just sad and scary and it’s painful that other people feel this way, great people, because it is an awful battle to have raging on inside of yourself. For it to have taken such a great person, or so many great people through the years, how hard would it be for it to take me?
